There's not a cure for eczema. A medicated cream is not enough to prevent its signs and symptoms. To eliminate eczema (natural or otherwise), you use a number of treatments to enable them to work. Also called atopic dermatitis, eczema begins often early childhood. Many people with eczema is also afflicted by hay fever and bronchial asthma. There is no reason known for eczema. Has anybody out there who suffers with skin eczema found sucess in seeing a chinese herbalist for treatment?

My partner sufferes with eczema all over his body particually arms, feet, legs and bum. It is quite severe and tends to weep regular. He is under the hospital who have given him a number of creams etc to help and treat his condition. Non of which seem to be helping. Recently he has been to see a chinese herbalist who said that his condition is a very bad case in this country (uk). He has now been given various herbal remedies as the herbalist assumes that the creams and lotions given by the doctors are actually feeding the condition rather than helping. Has anyone found this a success?

I've got psoriasis, I'm clearly not an expert, but I believe very much in a holistic approach. I used to be covered from neck to toe, and now I've on ony 6 small dots of it. No cream has ever done me any good.

Please seriously try cutting out dairy for 3 weeks, and if that doesn't work, try cutting out wheat and gluten. Also, try to eliminate any stress the guy is under.

I don't believe in Chinese medicine, but it is more from a moral standpoint than a medical one (They use the ground up horn of an endangered Rhino for an aphrodisiac amongst other things), but I found homeopathy to be absolutely amazing, where conventional medicine had done nothing.

  • I am chinese myself and I have tried chinese remedies which surprisingly does work althouth yes, it is very expensive. I can recommend a very good doctor in Shaftesbury Avenue (central London) for you. His name is Dr. Tang 0207 734 0845. I have seen him before with a case of food poisoning and he has worked miracles.

  • my son got completely free of his eczema using a Chinese doctor it was costly but so worth it. We had used everything and I hate using hydrocortizone all the time.
but listen my aunt went to a herbalist who made her take a mix of herbs when she got worse the herbalist told her it was the eczema leaving her body she did this for ages and was worse she then found out it was plants and pollen that give her eczema so the herbs were causing the eczema .
I suggest your partner does a patch test to see what he's allergic to and my son showed signs of improvement within days .
lucky for him it looked like it was infant eczema and at 18 its gone without using anything

  • My daughter suffers from chronic psoriasis and has been hospitalised 7 times in the past three years for 5-6 weeks at a time. She also has had all the conventional treatment which i agree with you just helps heal the surface of the skin but doesn't treat the cause. I took her to one of these herbalists and spent over £100 on pills and lotions which didn't help one iota. I, just like you would like to find a remedy for such debilitating skin conditions.

I have been looking on the net and i have found another remedy called "Oregon grape root extract" which i am trying to order at the moment. We have got to the stage where we will try anything that might give her some comfort. Good luck

  • Not personally, but I know of someone who took their child to a chinese herbalist. They were given all these strange herbs to steep in water and give to the child who had bad eczema. It did disappear after two weeks (the exzema, not the child). So give it a try, and good luck.

  • Several years ago my husband had a case of eczema that a dermatologist called the worst he'd seen in twenty years of practice. He prescribed a cream and a very strong oral medication called Neoral that I believe is also used to fight organ rejection. This did the trick--but, again, this was very strong medication with some side effects.

Heal Eczema Naturally

You can heal your eczema naturally.
A red, itchy rash would randomly show up on my arms throughout my childhood and teenage years.  Sometimes it would get a bit scaly, sometimes it would just be a few spots.  We had no idea what caused it and the solution was to put some cortisone cream on it.  It would go away for a while, but would always come back again.
Fast forward to my mid-twenties when I discovered I had multiple food intolerances.  I found that after removing foods, such as wheat and dairy, I only had eczema on my arms if I ate some of those foods.  I finally knew what caused it in the first place!
These days, unless I increase my probiotics too quickly, my eczema has been reversed.  It’s such a relief to not deal with the rash on my arms and to know that the cause of it is being treated rather than just the symptoms.
Do you struggle with eczema or other skin issues?  Fortunately, you can reverse and heal your eczema, too!  I recently had the opportunity to read The Eczema Cure by Emily Bartlett of the Holistic Kid blog.  She’s put together a wonderful resource for doing just that.  I wish I had this available years ago so that I could have avoided all of the cortisone cream I kept slathering on my arms.
What causes eczema, anyway?  If you’re thinking it has something to do with your gut, you’re right!  Emily says,
Eczema occurs when allergens enter the blood stream and create an inflammation reaction that appears on the skin. But why do some people get eczema when others do not?
Some of the factors that contribute to a person's susceptibility to eczema include genetic predisposition, immune system weakness and/or overload, and stress. But the root issue involved with eczema is almost always underlying digestive weakness. Even if you don't experience tummy upset, your digestive system may be impaired due to poor diet, stress, or other factors.
The Eczema Cure, p.7
The key, as with so many things, is to heal and seal your gut.  You may be thinking, ”Can’t I just do that with the GAPS diet?”  You certainly can!  That’s what I’m working on right now, which has led to the healing of my eczema.  However, the GAPS diet is a big commitment, and if you’re not quite ready to take the full plunge, The Eczema Cure
may be just right for you.
You may also not even need to try the GAPS diet to heal your gut, and therefore your eczema, with the steps outlined in Emily’s book.  This is just what Emily did to help heal her young daughter’s eczema.  You can see the difference from the pictures below.
If you’re already doing the GAPS diet, then you may not need this ebook.  There are some great GAPS-legal recipes that Emily shared, along with several others that could be easily modified to work for GAPS.
This ebook is really ideal for those who want to:
treat their eczema without resorting to steroid creams.follow an easy-to-read guide for healing their gut.learn how to gently detoxify their body.help ease their little one’s discomfort from eczema.find which supplements and nutrients will help their body heal.heal their gut while eating all sorts of delicious food, such as pizza, Thai curry, carnitas, and ice cream!
